Our Mobile Clinic

The Amanzimtoti SPCA runs mobile clinics two mornings a week into the underprivileged, previously disadvantaged and rural areas, within our area of operation. We offer education on animal care, dipping, vaccinations, sterilisation and primary veterinary treatment.

The communities we serve do not have access to veterinary care for their animals and each year we treat approximately 2500 animals at our mobile clinics (this is over and above what we deal with at the SPCA).

Each time we return to an area we are very heartened to note the marked improvement in the condition of the animals and the care they are receiving, in these communities. The need however, is still great.

Unfortunately in 2011 due to lack of funding we were forced to suspend our Mobile clinics. We are pleased to advise in February 2012 we were lucky enough to receive our Lotto funding for this project and were able to get back on the road and start up again for the new year!!
